Poem by Monica Sarmiento-Archer
Gravitación
Contraída por la gravedad de otro tiempo
congelada por el reflejo de otra verdad,
desde este escondrijo
reflexiono:
la realidad que veo es irreal,
pero es real porque la siento
está ahí.
No obstante – ¿cómo atravesar esa dimensión?
que sobrecoge, absorbe, lástima
implosión de emociones
me adentro en esta existencia desmembrada
entre cuerpos huérfanos que yacen desvalidos,
inertes,
mutilados
¿Cómo volver a mí realidad?

Gravity
Contracted by the gravity of another time
frozen by the reflection of another truth,
from this hideout
reflect :
the reality I see is unreal,
it’s real tho cuz i feel it
it’s there.
Nonetheless – how to cross that dimension?
that scares, absorbs, hurts
an implosion of emotions
i tap into this dismembered existence
among orphaned bodies lying derelicts,
inert
mutilate
How to come back to my reality?
